Puppies and almonds

Leaves are a fine weather,
A sun’s fall in bits, in hills
Like nature’s plastic litter.
Two red puppies in them
Are part of the total litter.

Almonds are a sun’s eyes
Falling to bits about leaves
And a litter of puppies left
By the dog in the last love.
